BSK Unveils Journey Through Personal Growth and Creative Evolution With EP Benert

Rising electronic artist BSK is set to drop his highly anticipated debut EP Benert on 13th February 2026, marking a bold step in his evolving career. Rooted in drum & bass with hints of 140-style rhythms, the release captures three years of life experiences, challenges, and triumphs, all channeled through a distinctly British electronic lens.

Drawing from personal growth and artistic exploration, Benert emerged from BSK‘s close collaboration with his friend and producer Big Heck, also known as Robert. The pair poured their shared journey into the project, documenting the highs and lows of learning and building as artists. Every track was produced entirely in-house by BSK and Robert, before being refined by JSD, across varied settings including BSK‘s home studio and his professional setup, which he now runs as a business.

The EP stays true to BSK‘s fluid sound, moving seamlessly between styles while maintaining a clear identity. It reflects his roots in Chorley, Lancashire, where he first fell in love with music in 2019 by setting up a Blue Ember microphone in his room and freestyling over random YouTube beats with friends. Those early, chaotic sessions sparked a passion that led to sharing tracks across college and eventually founding his own label, Oscillation Records.

Influenced by icons like Aphex Twin, particularly the album Syro, Eminem’s Relapse for its bold energy, and The Notorious B.I.G.’s Greatest Hits, BSK blends hip hop, chill-out, lo-fi, and drum & bass into an atmospheric style that prioritises emotion and personal interpretation over rigid genres. This independence sets him apart, as he creates without concern for trends, focusing on authenticity and emotional connection, values shaped by those formative friend-filled sessions that taught him to keep music fun and honest.

Benert builds on key milestones in BSK‘s career, including a track release with JSD on Virus Syndicate’s label, a full-circle moment, having grown up listening to them after connecting through Prima. Another highlight was founding Oscillation Records, which supports his catalogue and emerging artists alike.

The EP made its live debut on 5th February 2026, with BSK performing it in full to an audience. Echoing his most memorable gig at Way2Slimey in Soup Kitchen Manchester, where the crowd’s energy created a genuine connection, BSK hopes listeners approach Benert with excitement, curiosity, and a touch of challenge, forming their own meanings from its layers.
