DEAR THURSDAY NIGHTS..
WHERE THE F DID YOU GO?
I REMEMBER WHEN and not that long ago Thursday nights were the SHIZNIT in Seattle! It was like a special day to be out. That Monday you got on a three day holiday weekend, that half Friday you got after the pep rally in high school , that third nipple that some of us possess “SPECIAL”
It was a different kind of crowd, a different kind of energy. People wanted to go out. It was not like the weekend where it’s expected – IT WAS SPECIAL!
IN 2005 I used to catch the 120 bus from Tukwila (South Seattle) and be at The Last Supper Club by midnight. So packed you had to throw elbows to sweat and and use a straw to drink your beer cuz no room to lift it to drink. I actually used to complain that it was too crowded! Trinity Nightclub Contour Seattle LSC, ALL PACKED.
BUT TONIGHT and so many nights lately: NOTHING. Two places I went to last Thursday actually had more employees than customers..
VERY SAD
So if we ever needed a super hero we need one now..
